Ukraine's Ministry of Defense claims it has 'taken out' 100,000 Russian troops from the war.

The elimination that the Ukrainian military is talking about seems to mean the state of being killed or seriously injured and leaving the battlefield.

According to Germany's DPA news agency and US Fox News, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced on the 22nd (local time) that 660 Russian troops were eliminated in one day, bringing the total number of Russian troops eliminated since the outbreak of war on February 24 to 100,400.

According to local independent media, this figure seems to mean the number of Russian soldiers who were killed or seriously injured and left the army, DPA news agency reported.

Foreign media reported that they could not confirm whether these statistics matched the facts.

The Russian military advertises its "achievements" on how much damage it has done to Ukrainian forces every day, but rarely discloses casualties.

However, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu claimed that the number of dead as of September was 5,937.

It is possible that the number of dead has increased significantly as the Russian army has suffered a fierce counterattack by the Ukrainian army since September.

There were many interpretations that the Russian army's partial mobilization order in September and the reinforcement of 300,000 troops in the reserve was also aimed at making up for the loss of troops at the forefront.

The British Ministry of Defense's Defense Intelligence Agency also analyzed that the Russian army has recently devoted most of its training to Belarusian instructors because of the large number of Russian military drill instructors killed.

Meanwhile, Ukraine's president's office said earlier this month that the death toll could reach up to 13,000.
